Illini FS is part of the GROWMARK System, an agricultural cooperative serving more than 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada. _ PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT_ Assisting the HR, Agri-Finance, and Accounting areas, performs duties in a timely and accurate manner to increase customer satisfaction and maintain the reputation and profitability of the organization. _ ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS_ Submit new applications, annual renewals, and tracking/reporting of Agri-Finance activity. Meets and greets clients and visitors. Answers telephones and provides appropriate customer service or directs to appropriate staff member. Answers accounts receivable inquiries and provides appropriate follow-up as needed. Compiles data and prepares invoices by gathering purchase orders, sales tickets, delivery tickets, load-out documents, and charge slips for billings using computer-based programs and software. Ensures accurate pricing and maintains record of current price lists. (This includes reviewing booking and billings weekly to ensure that pricing is correct) Coordinates physical counts of inventory, reconciles inventory variances, posts inventory transactions and reviews shipping documents and bill of ladings to verify product received/returned and transferred in/out. Assists manager in maintaining current pricing and communicating pricing to other department staff. Supports staff in assigned project-based work both in a team-oriented environment and independently. Cross-trains and serves as backup for other administrative positions as assigned. Assists in maintaining accurate inventory and inventory position (booking) records for all products. Processes payments to customer accounts and prepares daily deposits. Enters and codes Accounts Payable invoices daily. _ OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS_ May be asked to drive and run local errands as needed Supports and contributes to total company goals and objectives through collaboration efforts. Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. Performs all other duties as assigned. _ REQUIREMENTS_ Normally requires an Associate’s degree in Accounting, or the equivalent thereof, and 3 years or more of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of accounting procedures. Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Microsoft Office background with a minimum of intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. Prefer an understanding of accounting practices. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. Ability to travel independently and/or overnight as needed. Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
