The Workday Director - Portfolio Manager oversees a portfolio or clients as well as colleagues. The role provides input into the direction and strategy for an AMS delivery practice area. Collaborates with Resource Management, Human Resources and Workday Leadership to determine and execute client alignment, training, methodology and other internal facing projects. Responsible for managing headcount, resource forecasting and utilization, resource costs, and FTEs to deal models and delivering against the business financial goals.

The role

Key Responsibilities

  • Individuals in this role are a part of the leadership team, working closely with the partners within AMS to create, plan, and implement short and long-term strategic goals which directly influence the business direction

  • Actively plays a role in Client delivery with up to 50% client utilization

  • Responsible for managing a portfolio of clients or a technology area and overseeing through others adherence to FTE forecast and quality delivery of work.

  • Operate as a key escalation point, ensuring development of solutions to complex problems/projects across portfolio of clients.

  • Partner with Sales and Solutions and Resource Management on project staffing to ensure project assignments are properly aligned to pipeline and team and understand the needs for more or less resources in specific functionality/modules. Review Sales and Solutions estimates as well as coordinating and development of estimates when needed.

  • Can influence up, draw conclusions. Asserts own ideas and persuades others, gaining support and commitment from others; mobilizes people to take action, using creative approaches to motivate others to meet Strada goals.

  • Improve the delivery of services with a commitment to continuous improvement within and across portfolio of clients.

  • Lead initiatives across the AMS practice to improve our delivery. Facilitate and provides oversight to collateral creation and maintenance from within the team.

  • Actively plays a role in client sales meetings/opportunities. Recognizes and capitalizes on sales opportunities within portfolio of clients.

  • Grow and develop leadership and consultative skills throughout the team and with direct reports.

  • Able to speak to clients about Workday related to trends in the market and Strada best practices.

People Manager responsibilities:

  • Hires, on-boards and mentors new colleagues through partnership with the recruiting team.

  • Assists colleagues in goal setting, solicits 360 feedback, assesses performance, provides feedback to colleagues, and reviews compensation periodically to ensure competitiveness, per business requirements.

  • Conducts at least monthly one-on-one performance and coaching discussions with team members.

  • Executes onboarding plan for the new hires with a focus on increasing the certification pass rate and accelerating assimilation.

  • Partners with Resource Management on project staffing to ensure project assignments are properly aligned to team members’ skill sets and personal preferences.

  • Coaches colleagues through management of project assignments, job requirements and capabilities, as well as guiding their overall career paths.

  • Ensure the team's individual internal resumes, ETC’s and timecards are accurately maintained and up to date.

  • Actively reviews and presents team members for promotional opportunities to senior leadership.

  • Ensures accurate, timely feedback to colleagues including managing difficult conversations effectively

  • Cascades information to team members via appropriate channels.

The Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in technical, business, or financial discipline

  • 7 to 10 plus years of experience in a solutions delivery environment in a strategic role.

  • 7 to 10 plus years working on implementations projects (Functional Domain HCM or FINS).

  • 5 plus years managing service delivery teams for Workday, Oracle or SAP/SF.

  • Experience managing Service Delivery teams in either an implementation or post production steady-state context.

  • Must excel at relationship building and have experience successfully managing long-term client accounts and relationships.

  • Ability to effectively and clearly interface, build trust and credibility with colleagues, aligned platform (Workday, Oracle Cloud, SAP, etc.) and clients.

  • ​Recognizes and tackles difficult conversations proactively; strong soft skills that facilitate resolution and win-win approach.

  • Travel up to 20%.

  • Application Certification in Human Capital Management (HCM), Payroll and / or Financials is not a requirement of the role, but preferred.

Minimum :

140,900 USD

Maximum :

223,600 USD
