Overview

This position is contingent upon contract award

SOSi is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager with a deep understanding of acquisition activities supporting large government contracts. This position will be the primary point of contact for the Contract Specialist and Contracting Officer. This position will be located in Camp Humphries, Korea .

Essential Job Duties

  • Contract management, execution, and reporting: lead and manage all aspects of the contract, ensuring smooth contract execution; includes tracking milestones and reporting program status per the terms and conditions of the contract.

  • Compliance: ensure contracting activities are in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and best practices to achieve operational excellence, financial performance, and customer satisfaction.

  • Requirements analysis: analyze requirements, assessing areas of risk and communicating risks with mitigation strategies in a timely manner.

  • Communications: communicate concerns from the onset and provide timely recommendations for resolution; recommend ways to optimize contract engagement and execution.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution with 10+ years of experience in procurements within the federal government, DOD, Army, or IC and/or private sector.

  • Acquired knowledge (10 or more years preferred) of industry accepted standards and best practices related to DoD Contracts Management with practical knowledge and excellence in applying the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), DFARS, DoDI 5000 series regulations, and Clinger-Cohen Act compliance.

  • Knowledge of government contracting methods and the ability to develop and maintain professional and dependable relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated understanding and practical experience of acquisition management principles throughout the full project lifecycle (pre-award to close out).

  • Extensive experience (10 or more years preferred) tracking deadlines, deliverables, and other obligations; planning, directing, and managing

  • Projects/operations; tracking and maintaining a record of modifications; recording and solving contract problems/issues; reporting on contract deliverables and performance and ensuring product quality.

  • Experience (5 or more years preferred) managing multiple contract types for supplies and services (e.g., FFP/LOE, T&M, FFP, CPFF, CPIF, and CPAF)

  • Experience (5 or more years preferred) coordinating and interfacing with the government contracting centers on contract-related action items and management activities and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with contracting officials and senior personnel providing clear leadership, technical direction, and guidance.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, enabling the crafting of contractually effective acquisition artifacts.

  • Ability to develop effective presentations to both senior and subordinate staff levels and advise leadership on a variety of matters of highly technical or general acquisition nature.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, diplomacy, judgement, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong tactical and strategic negotiation skills.

  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent problem solving, communication and organizational skills.

  • Active secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree is preferred

  • PMP preferred

  • ITIL v4 preferred

  • Certification in one of the following areas: Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA), Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C III), or Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM).

  • Practical working knowledge and experience with SAFeĀ® is desired.

  • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable)
