Rescue Mission of Utica Clinical Services Supervisor in Utica, New York

JOB SUMMARY Clinical Services Supervisor partners with the Program Director to provide leadership for the overall OASAS Part 820 operation The Clinical Services Supervisor is responsible for the day to day clinical operation and supervision of the program and provides routine supervision for the staff. The individual in this role is expected to provide leadership, exhibit integrity model a professional work ethic to our employees, guests, volunteers, interns and community members. Indivudal must maintain all standards & credentialing requirements for pertinent licensures & certifications as a QHP.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Provide direct clinical supervision/guidance to CASAC, CASAC-T, Social Workers and Counselor Assistants with regard to their daily clinical work responsibilities. • Reviews charts of all primary care clients and specific sections of extended care clients to ensure care is appropriate and proper documentation and charts are in compliance with all OASAS regulations. • Develops, coordinates, documents & ensures compliance with staff development plans for training based on individual employee needs as required by NYS OASAS. This includes orientation for new employees. • Responsible for several administrative functions, including but not limited to completing performance evaluations for CASAC, CASAC-T and Councilor Assistants, provides input on the development of policies, procedures, ensures accurate OASAS PAS forms are submitted timely, and ensures accuracy in data collection used for billing purposes. • Attend and reinforce decisions made at the Treatment Team meeting for the best outcome of the client and makes decisions in the areas of stabilization/withdrawal service and determination for level of care. • Collaborate with community providers to meet the best interest of the client. • Ensures compliance with staffing levels of CASAC, CASAC-T and Counselor Assistants per OASAS regulations and is available for on call to meet the emergent needs of the population receiving services per OASAS regulation • Follows the polices of the ASC and is knowledgeable of the client handbook and abides by all Rescue Mission Program and safety policies, procedures and guidelines. • Provide 24 hour, on-call services for clinical staff at ASC to answer questions and to ensure that appropriate staffing is provided per program regulations. Fill in for shifts and tasks as needed. • Assist with interviewing and hiring • Provides input/assistance to the Program Director on employee matters that require corrective action. • Inform the Director of all unusual matters, seeking advice and counsel when necessary. • Perform a client treatment group as needed. • All other duties as assigned. MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS • Must be a QHP as defined by Part 800, CASAC is preferred. • Must have three years of clinical experience in chemical dependence treatment, supervisor experience recommended. • Must have strong oral and written communication skills. • Must obtain CPR certification within 90 days of hire and maintain current certification throughout period of employment. • Must demonstrate the knowledge and ability to operate the following: agency vehicle, BAC machine, and communication equipment. • Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel. • Current and valid New York State driver’s license preferred. • Enthusiastic support of our Mission Statement.CORE COMPETENCIES • Complies with Canon of Ethical Principles as outlined by the NY State Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services and the RMU Employee Handbook • Maintains good attendance, punctuality and a neat appearance. • Maintains professional conduct with co-worker and clients. • Ability to perform all work in a timely manner and of high quality as measured by the accuracy and reliability of required documentation, the amount of work completed, and the degree in which it is performed on time. • Ability to work cooperatively as a team member with all members of the Addiction Stabilization Center staff. • Willingness to participate in various treatment centered activities including willingness to accept assigned responsibilities. • Willingness to discuss any areas of concern with the Director that is not resolved at the Team Level. • Maintains professional conduct with employees and cooperates as part of a team. • Utilizes supervision and notifies supervisor of concerns and issues. • Maintains cooperation in carrying out the work. • Maintains professional conduct with patients who are receiving services throughout the treatment delivery system. • Maintains positive relationships with other Rescue Mission employees and other community service providers. • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding clients’ presence in the program, treatment or medical or HIV conditions per agency and federal law regulations. • Commitment to adhere to all established policies and procedures of the Addiction Stabilization Center. • Follow and support Infection Control standards for Universal Precautions. • Follow established emergency procedure including fire drills, evacuation procedure and disaster plans. • Commitment to carrying out the Rescue Mission of Utica’s Mission StatementStatus/Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week & On call, 8am-4pmPay Rate and Benefits: We offer a competitive pay rate and comprehensive benefit package for eligible employees to include medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k), voluntary benefits, paid time off, holidays and paid training.Thank you for considering the Rescue Mission of Utica for your future employment.
