Job Description
Insight Global is seeking Drafters for a leading manufacturing client in Vacaville, CA. In this role, youll be responsible for:
Adhering to different drafting schedules.
Reviewing customer drawings and calculations provided by the engineering team.
Making necessary revisions.
Creating a bill of material for the manufacturing team.
Contributing to process improvements.
Specific Tasks:
Utilizing Revit and AutoCAD effectively to produce precise CAD drawings of IMP structures and buildings, following industry-standard drafting and construction practices.
Modifying and creating Revit families, integrating them into project templates.
Completing assigned drafting and BoM tasks accurately with guidance.
Generating basic projects (such as box structures) with minimal unusual conditions or unique product applications (e.g., horizontal or cold-storage designs) and minimizing errors.
Understanding the drafting schedule and prioritizing tasks with input from Project Managers and supervisors.
Demonstrating a basic understanding of construction engineering and effectively using AWIP calculators and spreadsheets.

Skills and Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
1 year of experience in the industrial/manufacturing sector.
1+ year experience with AutoCAD, proficiency in BIM, Revit, Tekla, and 3D modeling.
Ability to interpret construction plans and drawings.
Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel, Outlook, and Teams). Experience in creating bill of materials. null
