GE VERNOVA is a major player in renewable energies, as a manufacturer of the electromechanical systems that equip hydroelectric power plants around the world. Within GE VERNOVA, the hydromechanical design office is specifically in charge of the design of gates and their operating devices.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Reporting to the design office manager, your main missions are:
Creation of 3D models in collaboration with the engineer in charge of the project
Realization of assembly drawings and detailed drawings, including functional dimensioning & tolerancing and bill of quantities
Conduct technical discussions internally with local and international teams, as well as with external manufacturing workshops
Continuous improvement of our internal CAD methodology
Verification of drawings done by others collaborators to ensure compliance with ISO standard drawing rules, as well as with specific practices of hydromechanical product
Qualifications/Requirements
12th grade to Bachelor in mechanical construction
5 years of experience as a designer on large welded assemblies
Good knowledge of Autocad (2D)
Good knowledge of 3D software (e.g.: NX, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, ...)
English spoken and written
Desired Characteristics
Used to perform job with a Product Life Manager (e.g.: Corella, ENOVIA, Hylife, ...)
French or Portuguese spoken and written is a must
Demonstrated ability to perform inclusively in a diverse environment and to promote inclusion and diversity in the workplace
