Who are you?

A highly organized, motivated individual with dynamic interpersonal skills. This individual will be an integral part of our accounting team responsible for payment processing, cash receipts processing, journal entries, monthly reconciliations and reporting.

The Role

  • Process vendor set ups and wire payments

  • Process accounts payable invoices for approval and payment

  • Research and resolve accounts payable issues directly with vendors and/or accounts payable team

  • Prepare journal entries

  • Support operational accounting team in settling and flashing events into Rome/Salesforce

  • Support festival accounting team in preparing, processing, and tracking payments for artists and suppliers

  • Support operational accounting team in reconciling P&L and Balance Sheet accounts

  • Support show accounting in compiling necessary show file documentation

  • Review advertising expenses and reconcile against the show advertising summaries

  • Maintain compliance with internal controls

  • Month-End tasks, as assigned

  • Ad hoc duties, as needed

    Requirements:

  • Strong organizational & time management abilities, detail oriented

  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • 1-2 years general accounting experience

  • Ability to multi-task, proactively solve problems, and meet time-critical deadlines

  • Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel

    Physical Requirements/Work Environment

    Stationary position for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; movement throughout the day; occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; ability to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; move up to 10 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.

    $55,000 - $60,000 CAD **
