Cardiac Sonographer:

Pay: The general salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $45.20 – $67.33The actual hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the job/position responsibilities, location, terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, education, training, work experience, seniority, work performance, etc.

8 hr. shifts. Shift: Thurs – Mon or Fri – Tues.

Union environment

Hire on Bonus being Offered.

Relocation assistance available.

Will be trained to be part of our robust structural heart program supporting TAVR, Watchman and Mitra Clip.

Once trained in Pediatrics would be put be on call schedule and would need to be within 30 minutes of site.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Accredited Program Required: Diagnostic Ultrasound

  • Preferred: CAAHEP accredited with emphasis

  • Internship Preferred: Cardiac. Minimum six months full-time

  • 1 year Preferred: Experience as cardiac sonographer

  • Required : Registered Cardiac Sonographer (Oregon and Washington Requirement) or

  • Required : Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (Oregon and Washington Requirement) or

  • Required : ARDMS Peds Echocardiology (Washington Requirement: May be considered if working with the specified patient care population and as approved by department leadership) or

  • Required: ARDMS Adult Echocardiology (Washington Requirement: May be considered if working with the specified patient care population and as approved by department leadership) or

  • Required: Adult Cardiac Sonography (Oregon Requirement)

  • Required: Basic Life Support

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient’s needs. (Required)

  • Computer experience (Required)

  • Good interpersonal, organizational and decision-making skills (Required)

  • Ability to take initiative and work independently (Required)

  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. (Required)

Working Conditions

Lifting

  • Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and/or devices (NIOSH).

  • Ability to move around area with occasional sitting.

  • Fine motor skills to be able to grasp and control medical equipment.

  • Lift/Carry: Frequently up to 15 lbs. Occasionally up to 30 lbs.

  • Push/Pull: Frequently up to 13 lbs. force. Occasionally up to 30 lbs. force.

  • Reaching frequently.

Environmental Conditions

  • Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles.

Mental/Visual

  • Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted).

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
