As an intern you be mentored by a Project Manager, Project Engineer, Estimating staff or Safety Professional. You will learn and have exposure to multiple facets of the construction process including but not limited to the following:

  • Work closely with experienced project staff and field leaders

  • Write RFI’s and change orders

  • Learn to source suppliers and procure materials through our supply chain processes

  • Assist in preparing submittals and maintaining submittal tracking logs

  • Learn the construction estimating process, programs and best practices

  • Promote safety and our safety culture through job walks and safety audits

  • Observe work in progress to ensure its being performed per the applicable IFC drawings and specifications

  • Learn to perform drawing take-offs

  • Build relationships within the crafts including apprentices, journeymen, supervision and staff

  • Build relationships with client representatives, suppliers, subcontractors and corporate support teams

Duration & Schedule: Full-time during summer break (up to 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday) - 12 weeks (May-August & June-September)

Compensation: $19-$26 per hour, depending on grade level - FLSA non-exempt (OT eligible)
