Eaton Corporation Inside Sales Representative / Quotation Specialist in Vanier, Quebec

Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently hiring a Inside Sales Representative / Quotation Specialist to join our team. This position is based at our Vanier, QC facility and offers benefits from Day 1.

What you’ll do:

The Inside sales representative is responsible to prepare professional quotations, Bills of Material using sound business and technical judgment with due recognition to distributor policies, modules, and field strategies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Produce complete, accurate and on time quotes based on plans and specification.

  • Proactively quote alternates to better position Eaton.

  • Customer communication and support/internal: Maintain proper communication with internal customers, including price and product feedback on both commercial and technical issues; Maintain effective communication and coordination with field sales engineer, thus maximizing the field sales engineer’s effectiveness.

  • Monitor flow of project business in assigned area and communicate issues, needs, workload requirements as necessary to field sales personnel.

  • Close orders using selling skills, follow-up and technical expertise.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and French, written and spoken. (Local business is conducted in French).

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).

  • Minimum a High school diploma in Electricity or a college diploma electrical engineering or related discipline.

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Customer service.

  • Proficient with reading electrical schematics.

  • Must be able to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • University degree electrical engineering or business program.

  • Minimum 5 years Technical sales experience.

  • Market/ Customer knowledge in the electrical industry.

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven planning and organization abilities.

  • Excellent customer service and listening skills.

  • Electrical industry experience.

  • Experienced in developing and delivering customer-focused solutions.

  • Demonstrated competency in contributing to the success of the team.

  • Analytical aptitude, ability to think critically with proven problem-solving skills.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
