Covering approximately 811 square miles, the county is home to over 800,000 residents. More and more families and businesses are choosing Lee County to call home. From sparkling white sandy beaches and lush golf courses to an exciting sports and outdoor recreation scene, Lee County’s nationally recognized public school system, low crime rates, and exceptional quality of life make it a great place to live, work, and raise a family. Its patron base is varied and includes people of all ages and backgrounds. The library is located between Lehigh Senior High School and Varsity Lakes Middle School. On school day afternoons, the library attracts many middle and high-school-aged youth from the neighboring schools.

The North Fort Myers Public Library was rebuilt in August 2019 with a new 25,000-square-foot facility serving North Fort Myers and surrounding communities.
