AUI Partners QAQC Technician in Various Locations, Texas
The Quality Technician will play a critical role in ensuring that all products and processes meet required quality standards, conducting inspections, testing materials, and identifying areas for improvement. This hands-on role requires a proactive individual who can ensure compliance with quality protocols and contribute to the continuous improvement of manufacturing and production processes.
Inspection and Testing:
Perform routine inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and final products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Conduct tests on solar energy products and materials, documenting and reporting results to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
Use various measurement tools and equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Supporting Quality Control Processes:
Work with the Quality Assurance team to support the implementation of quality control procedures across production and manufacturing processes.
Ensure that all procedures are followed in alignment with the company’s quality management system.
Assist in maintaining records of quality assurance activities, including documentation of non-conformances, test results, and corrective actions.
Data Collection and Reporting:
Gather and document quality data, including measurements, test results, and inspections, to identify trends or potential areas of improvement.
Report any product or process deviations to the Quality Manager or relevant team members for further investigation.
Assist with maintaining and updating quality records and reports for audits and regulatory compliance.
Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving:
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to help investigate product defects or issues and support root cause analysis.
Assist in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate defects and improve product reliability.
Support Internal and External Audits:
Assist in preparing for and supporting internal and external audits, ensuring that all quality standards are being met and documented appropriately.
Participate in reviewing audit findings and help to implement corrective actions as necessary.
Calibration and Maintenance:
Ensure that all testing and measuring equipment is calibrated and maintained according to company standards.
Report any malfunctioning equipment and ensure timely repairs or replacements to avoid interruptions in quality control activities.
Continuous Improvement:
Support ongoing continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for process optimization, recommending changes, and implementing improvement actions.
Work with the team to streamline quality processes, increase efficiency, and reduce product defects.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety guidelines and ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.
Promote a safe working environment by identifying and reporting any potential hazards or safety concerns.
Associate degree or certification in quality control, engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical field. A high school diploma with relevant experience may be considered.
2+ years of experience in a quality technician, quality control, or similar role within a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in renewable energy or electronics.
Hands-on experience with inspection, testing, and measurement tools and equipment.
Proficiency in using measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Familiarity with quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus.
Strong knowledge of inspection techniques and statistical process control (SPC).
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects, non-conformance, and areas for improvement.
Ability to conduct basic root cause analysis and suggest corrective actions.
Good written and verbal communication skills to document and report quality findings.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance
