We currently have a great opportunity for an R&D Process Engineer QC

As the R&D Process Engineer you will develop devices and equipment’s for breweries to measure the turbidity, dissolved O₂, dissolved CO₂, and alcohol extract. Within the project team you will be responsible for the technical development of the measuring process. You will be supported by all needed disciplines and if necessary you will, together with the project team, organize external expertise and support.

You will:

  • Design, build and test functional models of spectrometric measuring devices

  • Set up (mathematical) models and develop algorithms, relating measured parameters to an individual beer property (O₂, CO₂; alcohol & extract)

  • Perform data analysis and keep well documented records of calculations and data analysis

  • Arrange external testing/support services when necessary

  • Assist and instruct lab and engineering technicians if required

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics or Applied Physics

  • 0-3 years of experience in Research & Development or lab/test setting

  • Knowledge of Chemo metrics is a prerequisite

  • Experience with analysis tools (Matlab, PLs Modeling, Minitab)

  • Good knowledge MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Outlook), JDE, Visio or similar

  • Good written and oral communication skills in Dutch and English

  • Self-starter, critical thinker, good listener with an innovative mindset
