Job Description

The Sourcing Finance Analyst role is critical, providing essential support for the non-Global commodity teams and the Regions (3 Executives and their immediate teams). This position also has significant visibility with Senior Leadership in Finance and Supply Chain including the Gas Power CFO, Supply Chain CFO, Gas Supply Chain Leader, and Gas Sourcing Leader. This role is vital in ensuring the financial integrity and strategic success of the sourcing operations, with direct impact and exposure to top-tier leadership within the organization.

What you’ll do

Sourcing Support:

  • Financial Partnership: Develop strong relationships and function as the financial partner for the Non-Global and Regions commodity team. Support reviews and provide visibility on $1B spend. Ensure all strategic actions are accurately reflected in financials/bowler.

  • Financial Analytics: Provide in-depth financial analytics to support sourcing negotiations.

  • Assess the financial impact of new strategic negotiations, evaluate the financial health of suppliers considered ‘High-Risk,’ and support quarterly strategic reviews with leadership.

  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Assist the team with various ad hoc analyses, including Near-Shore-Diversification (NSD) play, cash management, planning cycles, standard cost evaluations, and more.

Commodity Risk Management:

  • Price Updates & Newsletters: Update historical prices and generate a weekly newsletter covering macroeconomic news, commodity prices, and other indexes for distribution to sourcing teams.

  • Senior Leadership Meetings: Support monthly metals meetings with Senior Finance and Supply Chain leadership to mitigate commodity exposure.

  • Forecasting Metals Surcharge: Lead the forecasting of quarterly metal surcharges for Factory Finance teams, providing critical insights for Purchase Price Variance (PPV).

Annual Standard Cost Update and Budget

  • Assist senior team members in leadings the annual standard setting process with the Factory Finance teams.

  • Communicate with sourcing teams to ensure timely and accurate review of annual standards cost.

  • Ensure the implementation of controllership updates to standards policy are reflected in the Finance360 Tool

  • Support the commodity team during planning sessions by providing visibility on spend, Estimate Estimate-at-Completion (EAC), and deflation.

Cash and Strategic Initiative Support

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cash flow improvement strategies.

  • Understand trade-offs between total landed cost and cash to influence commercial decisions.

  • Establish performance metrics and develop reporting/analytics capabilities for new sourcing strategic initiatives such as supplier capacity developments.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

  • Demonstrated experience in finance.

  • Fluency in English
