DESERET GENERATION AND TRANSMISSION Mechanical Maintenance Journeyman/Welder in VERNAL, Utah
Mechanical Journeyman for 500 MW coal-fired generation station near Vernal, Utah.
Install valves and fabricate piping services throughout the plant.
Overhaul steam plant equipment and systems such as pumps, compressors , valves, high pressure steam turbines, boilers, mechanical, and auxiliary equipment, ash and coal conveying and coal handling systems.
Working at heights on a regular basis with fall protection equipment.
Must be computer literate and able to read and interpret blueprints.
MUST be a high school graduate or equivalent.
Welding experience required. The successful candidate will be required to certify in welding on piping in various sizes and pressures.
Mechanical experience in an industrial setting and or diesel mechanic is preferred.
Machinist experience would be preferred but not required.
Will be expected to work in a safe and efficient manner while completing job duties.
Position is full time and must be available to work as scheduled including over time when required.
Need to have a valid driver's license with clean driving record to operate company equipment.
