QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN INDUSTRIAL/MECHANICAL PROJECT CONTROLS MANAGER
Extensive project control experience in mechanical construction projects in oil and gas and mining environments
Strong leadership and customer service skills
Ability and willingness to travel
Must have proven analysis, problem solving and management skills
Significant knowledge and ability to work with the following technology tools: Windows, Google G Suite, MS Office, Oracle Primavera Cloud, Viewpoint Vista, Estimating Software, Procore, Aconex, TradeTapp, GC Pay, Pipedrive, Bluebeam, Sigma, Etc.
A degree in project management is preferred, but multiple factors will be considered. We are really looking for the best person for this job and want to see what's out there! A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN INDUSTRIAL/MECHANICAL PROJECT MANAGER
As the Project Controls Manager for our Construction Management/General Contracting (CMGC) - Industrial (Mining and Oil & Gas division), you oversee the superintendents and supervisors, bearing the ultimate responsibility for the profit, loss, and client satisfaction of multiple projects throughout the U.S. With your exceptional organizational skills, you facilitate efficient scheduling. You keep your finger on the pulse of all aspects of each project and check in with customers regularly to gauge their satisfaction. Conducting yourself with integrity and using your exceptional communication skills, you maintain an excellent rapport with them at all times.
You are invested in our company and work hard to promote its success. Under your leadership, the project managers are inspired to take pride in their work and know exactly what is expected of them. Due to your exceptional ability to delegate efficiently and appropriately, you don't have to spend as much time on-site as you might otherwise. Though you do enjoy traveling and meeting with a variety of both employees and customers on a regular basis.
