ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assists in the development and implementation of departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
Coordinates and evaluates facility Process Improvement metrics and data collection operations to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
Assists in coordination and data collection for internal/external audits.
Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
Coordinates Quality Improvement Projects/Monitoring as needed for Patient Safety Standards, Core Measures, Standard Based Care, High Risk and other problem prone areas.
Knowledgeable of state and federal regulations regarding compliance with CMS and Joint Commission
Participates in on-going performance improvement for the unit and the organization
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum EducationX Associate’s degree X Required X Bachelor’s degree □ Preferred
Required Skills- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.- Ability to quickly learn how to navigate multiple complex software systems.Must be able to communicate with the ability to read, write, speak and understand English.Must be able to successfully complete Skills Competency Checklist within 180 days of hire Certifications:X Basic Life Support (BLS) Licenses:State of KY current unrestricted RN license
