What’s the role?
Reporting to the GM Finance Commercial Content, the role has end to end finance responsibility for two standalone entities within the division (Visual Domain and NewsPerform). Visual Domain is a leading video production company in Australia and NewsPerform a digital media business with leading racing publications Racenet and Punters. Both businesses are on track to deliver strong growth in FY25 and have high FY28 aspirations.
Partnering with the MD’s for the respective businesses and sitting on their leadership teams, this role will provide commercial insights to drive competitive advantage, business growth and will suit someone looking for broad senior executive exposure and responsibility.
Responsibilities:
Lead all month end, management reporting, budgeting and forecasting for both businesses
Provide the commercial insights, challenge and influence to support delivery of entity targets.
Partner the leadership team in setting the strategy and identifying and modelling commercial initiatives
Oversight for financial control functions including AP and AR, treasury and tax with support from specialist Group Finance teams
Lead, develop and inspire a team of 5 and build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
Identify and implement process improvements and generate process efficiencies
Manage internal controls, SOX compliance and risk
Who are you?
Strong commercial acumen & professional accounting competency (CA / CPA qualified)
Experience in revenue and cost management, forecasts and planning and financial modelling
Self-starter with the ability to form views, challenge the status quo and influence value add outcomes
A team leader with a strong focus on development, engagement and team outcomes
Strategic mindset being able to see ahead and translate into actionable strategies
