Bureau Vertias North America Finance Business Partner in Victoria, Australia

The role:

This unique opportunity exists for you to take on a Finance Business Partner role where you will provide timely accurate business and financial information and advice. To work closely with heads of business units and the senior management team. To provide analytical support for business reviews, business planning and to provide input into the development of strategic planning initiatives

Key Responsibilities

  • Control of Business Performance (Costs, expenditures, CAPEX, Revenue generation, labour ratios, among others)

  • Reviewing Operational Profit and Loss, analysing results and preparing monthly management report

  • Weekly generation of Operational and Financial KPIs

  • Reviewing Business Capacity, utilization and identifying profit improvement opportunities according resources allocation

  • Issuing KPI and benchmark analysis

  • Monitoring Utilisation rate of employees and highlighting corrective actions on under expectation utilisation

  • Reviewing and Consolidating Marketing Dashboard and Order Books (Sales/New Sales)

  • Monthly Forecast review and analysis against Budget for variation

  • Assist various members of the corporate and operational teams with developing analysis tools, KPI’s, management schedules and monthly performance analysis.

  • Support the operational team in financial modelling and price determination.

  • Work closely with the business to identify cost savings and align strategic objectives for the company.

  • Management reporting for head office.

  • Budgeting and forecasting

  • Cost management

  • Process improvement (business applications roll out, KPI, benchmarking) Month end processes

What’s needed?

  • Bachelor of Business – Accounting or equivalent is a must

  • CPA qualification or currently progressing towards such qualification is ideal

  • Experience in financial & management accounting, business planning and analytical support

  • Strong IT capability including Advanced Excel skills

  • Experience working within an international organization would be desirable, but not essential

  • Exposure to assisting with & developing strategic planning initiatives

  • Sound research and analysis skills

  • Sound report writing skills

  • The ability to work autonomously

  • Superior communication skills – Oral & Written

  • Effective listening skills

  • Strategic thinker

  • Results/outcome focussed

  • Dynamic approach, not afraid to take calculated risks

  • Sound organisational management skills

  • Comfortable in a changing, dynamic environment
