Reichmann Land & Cattle Livestock Worker in Villard, Minnesota
Need 7 full time, temporary, seasonal Livestock Workers to work in Villard, MN. From: 12/05/2024 - 03/31/2025 Work: 48 hours per week, Mon. - Sat. 8 hrs./day All hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of time and a half. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here at his sole discretion. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. Must Apply By: 02/02/2025 JOB DUTIES: General seasonal duties related to care of cattle. Determine and make available feed and forage for livestock on a daily basis during season. Maintain water availability for cattle on a daily basis during season. Rotate cattle to fields as feed or forage is consumed. Manage snow removal to create a conducive environment for cattle. Position and maintain windbreaks for cattle comfort. Position temporary feed areas as weather requires. Handle cattle at receiving and load out. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 1 month of experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The workers will be exposed to extreme temperatures. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance; employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
