Being part of the product management team, you will support our Nominal Mass Spectrometers product line with product launches, provide input for new product development using a stage gate process, support promotional activities, develop strategic partnerships, perform hands on laboratory experiments both in the factory and field, and deliver technical presentations at customer events.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Complete projects to meet product line revenue, growth, and profitability
Implement market growth initiatives including development, implementation, and control plans
Create experimental data with new and existing LC-MS hardware/software to evaluate customer readiness according to defined requirements and with a strong focus on understanding customer applications within target industries e.g., Pharmaceutical/Bio-pharmaceutical, Food Safety and Environmental and clinical research
Define market needs for new products; member of new product development teams and coordinate with external strategic partners to maintain a driven product offering
Implement Voice of the Customer (VOC) efforts to ensure that proposed product concepts meet the needs of the market and contribute differentiation
Assist in new product development initiatives through the stage gate Product Development Portfolio process, starting from project scoping to product launch. This involves involvement in project teams, preparation of review presentations, development of product specifications, planning launches, coordinating PR and Marcom activities, crafting sales plans, and actively participating in critical experimental tasks related to feature testing and demonstration.
Assist marketing programs with the generation and preparation of materials supporting new product introductions, sales presentations, application notes, research/technical articles, laboratory “proof” data, and other marketing collateral t increase product visibility and lead generation
Build training materials for sales and customer service teams and deliver training sessions, such as presentations, seminars, application notes, demo CDs, technical documents, and competitive analyses, to support the sales force.
Develop and implement all sales training activities to ensure alignment with the Marketing Strategy/Plan
Stay ahead of developments in the Life Science Mass Spectrometry market arena by maintaining communications with KOL, regulatory agencies, and organizations and reading published literature
Education & Requirements:
BS/MS degree in Science (chemistry, biology or equivalent), or Engineering.
Minimum of 4+ years of operating mass spectrometers, preferably nominal mass spectrometers
Basic knowledge of HPLC, nLC, uLC, and IC instrumentation. Technical demeanor, willing to understand the operation principals of mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography and ion chromatography systems including instrument modules, separation techniques and detection methods.
Hands-on experience on analysis techniques: LC-MS, LC-MS/MS, IC-MS/MS
Ability to develop operation manuals for training internal & external customers
Motivated, Autonomous work proficiency
Decision making for quality results
Ability to work in a team and independently
A working understanding of qualitative and quantitative analytical chemistry
Ability to present results in a public forum

Preferred:
Customer centric mentality and ability to translate customer requirements into applications and product proof statements
Knowledge in product management and marketing procedures is beneficial
Outstanding communication and presentation abilities in English and proficiency to present scientific results internally or externally
Ability to travel and meet with customers as required; average 30% travel with some international
Experience with Thermo or competitor software or equivalent experience testing scientific software or experience with Liquid Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry applications a plus

The annual minimum and maximum salary range is €31,500.00 to €42,000.00, respectively.
This translates to a monthly salary range of approximately €2,625.00 to €3,500.00 before taxes.

The salary range estimated for this position based in Lithuania is €31,500.00–€42,000.00.
