Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity in the South Jersey area for a Head of Finance. This Head of Finance role primarily involves overseeing daily finance functions, providing commercial input to the Senior Management Team, and driving business improvements. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable and receivable functions, monthly closing processes, cash flow management, and maintaining accurate tax records.
Responsibilities:
Ensure smooth operations of accounts payable and receivable through effective team management.
Take ownership of the monthly financial results by overseeing the finance team's closing processes.
Manage cash flow accurately and perform monthly forecasting.
Keep precise tax records and ensure the company adheres to all legislative changes, implementing necessary adjustments.
Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Develop annual budget and forecasting models.
Oversee monthly intercompany reconciliations for both domestic and international entities.
Assist in establishing and upholding the company's financial policies and procedures.
Facilitate the creation of new financial KPIs and encourage operational teams to enhance performance.
Cultivate strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and banks.
Requirements
The ideal Head of Finance candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education.
Other requirements for the Head of Finance position include and are not limited to:
5+ years accounting supervisory experience.
ERP experience
Proficient in Excel, especially Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP's
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork, initiative, and integrity.
Ability to identify and take on critical projects, as well as manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic/challenging environment.
