Job Description
The School of Nursing at Old Dominion University invites qualified candidates to apply for a full-time, 10-month, tenure-track nursing faculty position and Director of the DNP Advanced Practice program. Our School is searching for a faculty member who will share and contribute to our mission to transform healthcare by preparing exceptional nurses, extending nursing science and partnering with our global community. The start date for the position will be July 25, 2024.
Faculty responsibilities will include didactic and clinical instruction in the graduate DNP nursing program. Additional teaching responsibility for lab and clinical courses and administration of the program will round out the faculty member’s workload.

Minimum Qualifications - knowledge, skills, and abilities
Recent professional practice with experience as an advanced practice nurse is required.
Minimum Qualifications - Education or training
An earned doctoral degree in Nursing is required.
Minimum Qualifications - Special licenses, registration or certification
Possession or eligibility for Virginia RN and APRN license and a certification as an advanced practice nurse are required
Preferred Qualifications
Nurse practitioner experience and licensure.
Experience teaching in a nursing program.
Classroom experience and familiarity with online and web-enhanced formats and simulation.
Experience with telehealth.
Evidence of effective leadership and program or project management.
