Coinbase has an exciting Senior Software Engineer role on the EAA Coinbase Developer Platform BU delivery engineering team. The EAA CDP team is a blend of skilled engineers working across different platforms to deliver software supporting the CDP product and developer ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will have significant previous experience designing and implementing dynamic user interfaces using off the shelf component/design models and controls. Prior development experience and knowledge in React, Node and Next JS and Typescript.
What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
Develop, customize, and maintain Next applications with React UX, Node integrations, leveraging our internal design system and custom components.
Collaborate with product managers, administrators, and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide design and technical guidance on layout, functionality and user experience.
Utilize Figma or other design tools to facilitate UX design requirements
Follow secure coding standards to protect users, information and internal systems
Provide technical expertise and guidance on React/Next app capabilities, limitations, and potential solutions.
Stay updated with the latest UX design standards, features, internally and industry trends to propose innovative solutions and improvements.
Participate in code reviews, peer programming, and knowledge sharing sessions to foster a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
Document technical designs, specifications, and development processes to ensure comprehensive understanding and maintainable solutions.
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
5+ years of experience as a front-end developer with a deep understanding of CSS, Typescript and react.
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders and demonstrate value.
Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools.
Demonstrated hands-on experience in a source-driven development environment using GitHub.
Nice to haves:
Discord bot/API implementation experience and experience as a Discord user.
Knowledge of or hands-on experience with CDP API products.
Backend experience with Golang APIs or Salesforce platform configuration.
