Our Brampton location is presently looking for Senior Manager, Commercial Analytics
Job purpose
This role is responsible for managing all customer financial aspects and analytics related to Canadian commercial business performance for the OTC, generic, hospital and specialty divisions. This individual will be responsible for management of gross to net, customer, territory and product and profitability, sales incentive programs, budget process as well as management of our internal sales management tools. The role is required to provide in-depth analysis and financial support to various Sales Teams, as well as Senior Commercial Management, with a focus on developing, monitoring and optimizing of customer, product and territory data across all internal and external channels.
Duties and responsibilities
Champion and drive proposed system development or business process solutions aimed at improving profitability and compliance across all sales channels
Responsible for understanding all relevant market, customer and competitor data and business processes in order to research, analyze, interpret, measure and accurately report findings which will be used in the development of business strategies
In coordination with Sales Management, drive financial and ROI parameters for all RFPs and tenders for Canadian market
Manage the collection, maintenance, and organization of sales and customer data. In collaboration with Sales stakeholders, define business needs and document detailed requirements for ongoing reporting and analytics solutions.
In collaboration with Sales and Marketing, develop and monitor annual and quarterly Sales Budgets and performance to Budget by customer, territory and institution
Performs business critical analysis of sales and marketing programs which may impact revenue, profit and/or compliance
Design and implement sales force incentive programs
Support quarterly sales force incentive computation as per Senior Management guidelines
On a periodic basis work with sales and cost accounting team on SKU rationalization and product profitability of products.
Oversee the maintenance of accurate contract terms with customers in the ERP systems
Oversee and manage multiple software platforms used by analytics, sales and marketing teams, including CRM for hospital, OTC and specialty sales teams
Participate in internal, customer and regulatory audits when required
Provide leadership in gathering, clarifying and documenting data for sales application projects, service and support requests.
Design and deliver presentations and training workshops for commercial functional areas.
Work closely with the sales team as well as other functional groups to ensure that the captured data met various business requirements with newly designed analysis and business decision support tools
Analyze territory workload potential and make recommendations for optimized field force deployment. Manage geographic alignments process for customer facing teams.
Responsible for data vendor relationships and ensure both accuracy and validity of data feeds.
Provide ad-hoc quantitative and qualitative reports for sales and marketing teams, as business requirements dictate.
Participate in and/or lead special projects as required.
Manage process of calculating financial accrual requirements for organization
Management of three analysts
Qualifications
University degree in Finance, CPA preferred.
Minimum five (5) years of pharmaceutical experience, preferably in the generic or biosimilar industry
Experience and expertise across multiple business areas and multiple systems/departments (i.e. Sales, Finance, and Business Development)
Bilingual- English/French is an asset
Excellent business acumen
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities through team interaction
Strong interpersonal skills combined with ability to effectively work with diverse teams
Detail oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet established deadlines within a fast paced and changing environment
Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
Superior computer skills and database application literacy
A thorough understanding of Excel, Microsoft suite, BI/Data warehouses
