Veralto Senior Manager: APAC Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) in China

II. Key Responsibilities

Monitor, interpret, and assess existing or emerging EHS laws, regulations, regulatory policies, and industry practices; determine operational and business impacts, and develop, integrate, communicate, and execute strategies to effectively manage EHS outcomes. Manages and reports on EHS key performance indicators (KPI’s) for their region. Compile and submit all required EHS reports to regulatory agencies and fulfil all EHS corporate reporting requirements. Drive continuous improvement in EHS risk reduction and energy saving through the use of VES tools. Monitor operational changes (new projects, new work process or process change, layout change etc.) and execute change management procedure to minimize EHS risks in daily operation. Identify, respond to and resolve EHS risks with all plants and Field Sales & Service function teams’ daily management procedure, working environment, operate & maintenance method of equipment & tools, and personal behavior. Lead accident investigations to ensure root cause identification and corrective action plan development. Track corrective actions and routinely provide status report to management. Assists with the implementation and continual improvement/registration to ISO45001 and ISO14001 certifications. Carries out EHS audits Coordinates site level sustainability maturity assessments and facilitates the implementation of sustainability action plans to achieve Hach and Veralto targets. Maintain the EHS related (company level) certifications and work with external partners (landlord, audit firms, government officers etc.) to ensure no compliance issue happened that negatively impact Shilu operation. Schedules and leads EHS related kaizen events to drive future improvements. Assure site level Crisis Management and Emergency Response Plans are developed and are exercised while developing general business continuity plans. Monitor risk-reduction recommendations from property insurance provider. Assist with EHS and Facilities assessments of any proposed relocation of buildings/offices throughout APAC Other tasks assigned by site leader.

III. Education, Background and Skill Requirements

Over 5 years EHS/ IE/ Manufacturing Engineer working experience. Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in Engineering with minimum 5 years technical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Good English both spoken and written. Ability to engaging stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and internet) Strong communication, leadership, presentation, training, analytical and organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. High sense of responsibility and highly self-motivated. Good communication skills.
