Job Description

We’re looking for a dynamic, agile, and data-driven Senior Tools Specialist to join our Engineering Excellence team and enable SuitePeople product teams to deliver the highest quality software that empowers our users.

Our team’s main focus is on Oracle-NetSuite's SuitePeople offering. We apply our deep understanding of HR challenges to enable organizations to engage with their workforce and rapidly respond to changing business conditions.

The Engineering Excellence team fosters a quality-driven culture within the SuitePeople product organization by defining best practices, developing testing processes, promoting a better understanding of the NetSuite product, and supporting teams in their quality efforts.

Your daily responsibilities

In this role, you will leverage your experience with delivering quality software products in order to:

Supporting automation and tooling for SuitePeople engineering teams globally

Working closely with the DevOps and CloudOps groups to support SuitePeople development environment and tooling needs Documenting processes and guidelines internally for engineers to reference and use

Driving various working groups

Development and maintenance of test automation code and tooling scripts

Customize CI/CD builds/scripts based on user requirements

Your qualifications & skills

B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent

Intimate understanding of modern web applications from database to browser

8+ years of software development experience

5+ years of experience with Java or any other similar Object-Oriented Programming language Experience with configuring TeamCity, Jenkins or similar CI servers

Experience with writing automated tests in JUnit, Selenium or similar test automation frameworks Experience with writing automated tests against REST APIs

Intimate understanding of SQL and extensive experience with database-driven applications

Experience working with JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern frontend framework such as React or Vue Extensive knowledge of Design Patterns, Object-Oriented Programming paradigm and SOLID principles Familiar with Domain-Driven Design, clean architecture and Test-Driven Development

Great problem-solving skills and ability to abstract functional requirements

Excellent communicator in both technical and non-technical contexts

Experience designing and improving complex software applications

Capable of making decisions on test automation planning and strategy

Great expertise in root cause analysis and troubleshooting build and test failures

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
