GE Healthcare Senior Wireless Systems Engineer in Finland

Job Description Summary

Are you an experienced Wireless or Network technology expert with a strong background in product development. Would you like to be a part of a world class Mobile Digital Health (MDH) team developing innovative wireless patient monitoring devices and parameters?

As a Senior Wireless Systems Engineer, you will lead development and testing activities focusing on standard and proprietary wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi and MBAN radio systems, network infrastructures and communication protocols. You are part of our Wireless and Network team, offering your expertise across Patient Care Solution (PCS) segment.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Ownership of selected radio and network systems.

  • Development of advanced testing tools and environments.

  • Test execution and result analysis.

  • Driving collaboration with other GEHC teams and external partners.

Typical daily tasks are

  • Product test planning and execution

  • Troubleshooting of product issues related to network or wireless

  • Participate NPI activities

  • Long term planning

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Radio Engineering or Network Engineering or equivalent.

  • Experience in developing products from details to products (+10 years).

  • Deep understanding of some wireless technologies, e.g. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular.

  • Comprehensive understanding of IP networking e.g. routing/switching, LAN/WAN infrastructures.

  • Capability to contribute to long-term planning and having vision of future needs.

  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.

  • EU work permit.

Desired Characteristics

  • Knowledge on Lean R&D and on Scrum methodologies.

  • Basic programming skills with e.g. Python and scripting languages.

  • Basic knowledge of Linux systems.

  • Experience on medical regulations.

  • Subject matter expertise on hardware, product development and testing or manufacturing.

  • Good understanding of product change management and life cycle.

  • Good networking skills.

  • Good documentation and presentation skills.
