A bout the Role

Elsevier is seeking a Renewals Specialist. In this role, you will support Account Managers and Customer Success Managers in r enewing existing contracts with our customers . Your responsibilities will extend beyond renewals; you’ll be instrumental in driving process improvement initiatives, implementing change management strategies, and ensuring data-driven decision-making. Additionally, you’ll play a key role in maintaining process compliance across our organi s ation. Join our team and contribute to the growth and stability of our business!”

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating the existing renewals process, identifying any bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and leveraging technology and automation tools to streamline the renewals workflow.

  • Focusing on creating a seamless and positive experience for customers during the renewals process, simplifying the steps they need to take, providing clear instructions, and offering assistance when needed.

  • Implementing changes, monitoring the process closely to assess its effectiveness, gathering feedback from customers and team members, and making further adjustments as needed.

  • Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to renewals and analy s ing data to identify trends and patterns.

  • Working closely with Account Managers and Customer Success Managers to understand customer needs, identifying additional products or services that may benefit the customer, developing compelling value propositions for upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and coordinating with the sales team to execute these strategies.

    Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in renewals management, sales operations, or a related role.

  • Strong understanding of subscription-based business models and Healthcare industry trends.

  • Bachelor level education. Master’s level education is a plus.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationship, navigate conflict and foster honest dialog.

  • Ability to prioritise and to successfully manage multiple projects/initiatives.

  • Ability to work in a matrix environment is required .

  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex business data.

  • P rior experience in the use of SalesForce

  • This role requires limited travels to internal events and trainings.

  • Proficiency in English is a mandatory requirement for this position. Additional languages are a plus.
