HH Global Google Play Creative Artworker - 12 Month Maternity Cover in United Kingdom

The role:

As a detail-oriented and hardworking Creative Artworker you will contribute to the performance of the studio through the delivery of high quality, accurate and commercially focussed multi-channel artwork primarily for the EMEA Google Play clients.

  • To adhere to the company’s “Standard Operating Procedures”

  • To be flexible in line with the demands placed on the business to ensure (OTIF) delivery to clients in accordance with (SLA’s)

  • To liaise directly with the Project manager(s) on a daily basis and occasionally direct with the client to ensure new briefs and artwork requirements are met

  • To work closely with the global Play team, attending team calls and being part of a ‘round the clock’ studio offering

  • To be the primary design and creative contact for Play EMEA, and be able to assist with USA and APAC if cover is required

  • To prepare final artwork for print or digital, ensuring client requirements are met

  • To have a good understanding of output for digital and adapting to meet web specifications e.g maximum file sizes

  • To be comfortable working with many languages and different alphabets (any experience in Arabic is advantageous)

  • To be confident in working with retailer supplied templates whilst also maintaining Google Play brand standards

  • To be able to work according to a well established proofing process

  • To demonstrate an exceptional understanding & capability in artwork production complimented with an understanding of the repro process that will enable the delivery of high-class graphics production

  • To generate repro ready, error free artwork, in accordance with internal guidelines for artwork creation (SOP’s) whilst respecting brand guidelines

  • To be able to confidently offer guidance to those who may be unaware of design/output practices e.g retailers and account managers

  • To ensure all job folders and assets are organised and save correctly to the drive

  • To carry out self-checks on produced artwork

  • To record all time into the job system

  • To support the business in other areas as may be required from time to time

  • To support other Studios on non-Play related projects from time to time as capacity allows

  • You have expert skills with: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop. Basic AfterEffects skills required.

  • Knowledge of Google Slides/Powerpoint, Google Docs/Word and Google Sheets/Excel

  • You have experience in working on both print and digital projects. Experience in a fast paced studio environment

  • You are passionate about your work with the ability to create and adapt artwork from concepts and templates while adhering to strict design guidelines and procedures

  • A great sense of design, layout, balance and how to display information

  • Can demonstrate an exceptional understanding and capability in artwork

  • You are detail-oriented and proactive in seeking out and correcting any errors in your work

  • You are able to manage your own projects and work under tight deadlines while maintaining production schedules

  • You enjoy a challenge and figuring out new ways to do things as efficiently as possible

  • You are able to communicate in a clear, concise manner (whether it be email, voicemail or face to face)

  • You are easy-going, able to multitask, deal with multiple rounds of: edits, amends, scrapping things and starting over

  • You are flexible and can adapt to quickly changing priorities and tasks

  • You are open to constructive criticism and can maintain a great attitude under pressure

  • You are able to quickly pick-up a client’s brand guidelines and maintain brand consistency

  • You are a true team player and your first priority is the client’s satisfaction
