About the role:

The Sales and Marketing Director: Onyx BMS Ltd is responsible for scaling the Onyx business in alignment with Group strategy and revenue targets.

Key responsibilities:

Performance Delivery

  • Lead the introduction of Onyx to the market and oversee the sales pipeline from prospecting to conversion to achieve revenue targets

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Onyx sales and operations teams, ensuring the prompt and successful delivery of all services

Strategic Management

  • Inform the strategic direction of Onyx to create a sales and marketing strategy that supports the Onyx business plan, delivering significant enterprise value

  • Establish a sales and marketing function to support lead generation, conversion, training, and in-life account management to meeting acquisition and retention targets

Customer Relationships

  • Lead the business development function of Onyx, devising and executing sales strategies, crafting plans and forecasts, and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • Own the Onyx customer journey, fostering customer retention and nurturing account expansion to meet strategic goals.

Team Member Development

  • Ensure that the business has the appropriate Sales & Marketing talent to meet the overall objectives

  • Engage and motivate all team members in the company's performance

  • Over time, develop succession plans for senior Sales & Marketing roles, identifying and mentoring key talent

Other

  • Ensure timely reporting to the Onyx leadership team, key stakeholders and colleagues as appropriate

  • Demonstrates and advocates the Group's values

Skills and experience:

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in sales and marketing

  • Team management experience

  • Proven track record in executing and evaluating performance against set objectives and KPIs.

  • Strong understanding of the UK Bodyshop and insurance industry would be highly desirable, as would exposure to bodyshop management system operations

  • Excellent stakeholder management capabilities

  • Competence in managing conflicting priorities across the Group
