Shell Field Based Account Manager in Hong Kong

You will be part of the Trading & Supply Products organization which is at the heart of Shell’s Downstream business. T&S Products exists as the integrator with the rest of Royal Dutch Shell to enable stronger E2E value delivery. We do so through managing and optimizing the physical supply chain as well as creating value though proprietary trading. Working closely with our partner businesses, we create more integrated value for Shell by maximizing the overall value potential across different lines of business and portfolios by delivering the right product to the right place on time at the maximum margin potential.

In this role, you will be part of the sales team and will hold P&L responsibility for Marine sector of Commercial Fuels in Hongkong, a key market in the East. You will report to Business Manager of Commercial Fuels HK.

What is the role?

  • Responsible for delivering business results and strategic intents esp in Marine sector for Commercial Fuels business in Hong Kong

  • Actively manage the interface with Supply, Mobility and CRT in Hong Kong to maximize P&L delivery.

  • Make term and daily spot sales to (local) resellers on the basis of specific market and supply conditions in close co-operation with the Pricing team.

  • Understand the sector and customer needs, map respective Customer Value Proposition (CVP) to optimize margin in different deals.

  • Manage over and under liftings of (term) contracts through different measures to minimize pricing exposure to enterprise.

  • Manage interaction for corresponding Commercial Fuels customers that have queries on pricing, invoices, supply issues etc. and drive for efficiency of E2E Order-to-Cash process without much manual intervention.

  • Ensure the streamline standards like Local Standard Offer book and Customer Promise

  • Plan and review customer interactions with record in Sales CRM tool to ensure product and service provision is on-track and account strategy is implemented to customer development, with effective communication to service providers.

  • Facilitate implementation of digitalization projects to enable stronger value generation from greater customer-intimacy and process-efficiency.

What we need from you?

  • Degree holder in Business, Marketing or related discipline

  • Ideally 5 years or more of experience in Commercial Fuels preferably in sales profession, with strong Commercial mindset and/or knowledge in Commercial market esp. in Marine sector

  • Proven Commercial sales & marketing experience with strong track record of execution.

  • Strong Business Acumen, with excellent selling/negotiation skills

  • Strong in leadership skill, esp. without formal authorities, to manage cross-team activities, lead changes and influence across organizational boundaries to deliver end-to-end value.

  • Strong in stakeholder management skill at resolving conflicts.
