MUFG Vice President, Team Lead, Loans Operations in Hong Kong

Key responsibilities:
Responsible for daily supervision and control of workflow for loan operations, including but not limited to loan and other securities.
Project Leadership and Representation : Lead projects and act as a representative for the Loans Operations department when the department is a relevant stakeholder.
Technical Expertise and Supervision : Serve as a technical expert, review complex transactions, supervise the team’s development, and provide training as needed.
Communication and Performance Monitoring : Maintain close communication with Global Operation Services (GOS), monitor their performance and daily work to ensure accuracy and adherence to the SLA.
Operational Issue Resolution : Perform checks on complex operational issues escalated by less experienced team members.
Incident Investigation and Reporting : Investigate operational incidents, establish countermeasures, and prepare draft reports for the Head of Department.
Support for New Product Offerings : Assist the Head of Department in evaluating support levels for new MUFG product offerings by reviewing resourcing issues, internal policies, workarounds, and system capabilities.
Achievement of Department KPIs : Aid the Head of Department in achieving the department’s KPIs as set by Branch Management.
Policy Development and Alignment : Assist in developing and updating policies to ensure they align with relevant regulations.
Job Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Business Administration is preferable.
Sound knowledge of bank operations with at least 10 years in loans and securities settlement, with at least 5 years at manager level.
Extensive experience in Banking Operations, with a good understanding of Banking products.
Strong personal integrity and control mindset.
Leadership quality on process, people, and service excellence.
Excellent communications and presentation skills at all levels of the organization.
Good knowledge of AML and other local banking regulatory requirements applicable to operations.
Good interpersonal skills to deal courteously and effectively with others.
Knowledge in accounting/finance principle.
