Shape the future of the Akamai Connected Cloud
You will have an opportunity to make a significant impact on Akamai's growing cloud offerings requiring a combination of system design, programming, and debugging skills. With your expertise, you will help design and build Akamai's next-generation Cloud Load Balancer. You must have a passion for managing projects, get things done quickly, and get them done right.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Contributing to the development of Akamai's Load Balancer and other cloud-networking technologies.
Creating and integrating cloud-networking technologies and architectures
Developing best practices, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.
Designing, implementing, reviewing, documenting, and testing high-quality code in close collaboration with your team.
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Have experience with object-oriented programming languages.
Be knowledgeable of Go and Python programming languages but also be ready to work in other languages as needed (Familiarity with C )
Have solid skills in writing, testing, and understanding complex computer software.
Demonstrate understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP) and knowledge of Linux-based operating systems.
Be experienced in technical design, product specifications reviews, projects, and backlog planning.
