V2X Supply Technician Lead in Kuwait

Overview

This position is physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP

Under the supervision of the Supply Supervisor, performs inspections on multi class supply material received at the Retrograde. Makes proper identification and classification of serviceability as it pertains to material received. Examines parts and components to determine serviceability; serviceable, unserviceable-reparable, unserviceable-non reparable, affixing completed appropriate form/tag for disposition and will contain comments relative to evaluation and be stamped by the Inspector. Responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the Retrograde to include performing technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities.

Responsibilities

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

  • Using a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines, and an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced, applies analytical ability to define and take appropriate supply action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.

  • Plans, conducts, and supervises supply technical inspections.

  • Use and interprets technical manuals, bulletins and written directives in the performance of all inspections.

  • Classify parts condition by examining for damage or excessive wear.

  • Suggests improvements to processes and capable of writing/implementing those processes.

  • Count, sort incoming material to verify receipts of material.

  • Examine material to verify quantity or conformance to specifications.

  • Compile reports on material, equipment, and stock inventory.

  • Prepares daily CDRL’s and other reports as required by the Performance Work Statement.

  • Move or transports material or supplies to other departments, using Pallet Jack, Forklift or industrial truck.

  • Responsible for Physical Security of Sensitive and Pilfer able material and ensure they are stored in accordance with all Army Regulations and local policy.

  • Receive, store, classify, and sort unserviceable equipment and supplies for disposal.

  • Ensure that all employees are always in compliance with all established Safety Policies and Regulations.

  • Safeguard all Army Property and Equipment.

  • Must comply with OSHA, EPA, and Fire Regulations and published company work rules.

  • Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or at the direction of the Supply Manager.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain valid Secret Clearance

  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and host nation Driver’s License, is required.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years continuous experience in supply operations.

  • Skills:

  • Problem solving skills when multiple tasks need to be accomplished.

  • Must be able to learn and operate AIS systems. GCSS-Army and required research web links (FEDLOG, ILW,DLA FEDMAL)

  • Must be proficient in how the repair parts system works and what to do when it doesn’t work correctly.

  • Must be proficient in all phases of the paperwork that pertains to classification of supply material.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

  • Must have a working knowledge of the Army COSIS requirements.

  • Must be familiar with appropriate ARs (Army Regulations) and TMs (Technical Manuals) concerning all supply activities.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Customer service training

  • Material Handling Equipment (Fork Lift Operation, Pallet Jack, Hand Truck)

  • Working Conditions:

  • Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).

  • Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.

  • Physical Requirements:

  • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.

  • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.

  • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
