Ford Motor Company VEV Facilities Engineer in Mexico

VEV Facilities Engineer works full time at the Product Development Mexico Test Facilities located at Ford of Mexico Global Technology and Business Center (GTBC). VEV Facilities Engineer is responsible for the appropriate operation and maintenance of existing buildings, equipment and machinery required to support Testing, Prototype Manufacturing & Construction, and Product Development physical operations. Also, VEV facilities engineer is responsible for the planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution of F&T Projects for PD Mexico Operations.

  • Coordinates the suitable distribution of the equipment and machinery that are used in the different areas from VEV.

  • Develops and ensure compliance to internal strategies to control and reduce the use of energy.

  • Issue RQ's to support testing activity.

  • Support initiatives to accomplish PD objectives related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Environmental and Transformation.

  • Track & close Facilities & Tooling related open items.

  • Lead PD Mexico strategic facilities projects.

  • Develop & execute innovation ideas & best practices.

  • Ensure protection of product confidentiality.

  • Provide means to ensure Environmental, Safety & Health requirements.

  • Identify Facilities & Tooling needs for PD- Mexico operations.

  • Support PD – Mexico Capital Investment strategic planning.

  • Gather and clarify needs, assumptions, and standards from PD customers.

  • Develop accurate & reliable timing & cost estimates for F&T Projects.

  • Supervise execution of F&T Projects.

  • English – 90%

  • Engineering degree - Mechanical, Mechatronics, Civil or similar.

  • MS Office Applications experience – Project, Gannt chart, project life cycle
