The Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic Broadcast Engineer to support our customers worldwide using AMPP, our SaaS platform. To be successful in this role, you must have a true passion for helping and supporting and have our customers’ best interest at heart, as well as the business itself.
The main purpose of the job is:
Put our customers first by providing industry leading customer service with innovative solutions to overcome challenges faced by our globally based customers
Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide solutions to our customers' individual needs
Own and Solve highly complex problems to improve customer experience
Work on a 24/7 shift rotation
Drive customer communication
Write tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical articles
Provide prompt and accurate responses to customers
Ensure all issues are properly logged within SFDC, JIRA and support programs
Prioritize and manage several open issues concurrently
Prepare accurate and timely reports
What You Will Need To Be Successful
Technology Systems Knowledge:
Degree qualified or equivalent combination of skills and experience. At least 5 years of relevant experience in managing day to day broadcast operation.
Cloud or Virtualization technology experience (VMWare, AWS, Xen or KVM)
Understanding of Video , Broadcast production techniques
Working Knowledge in :
digital and analogue electronics
digital and analogue video and audio systems
server-based applications and computer networking
Essential Knowledge:
Playout, Asset Management, Cloud and SaaS based Systems
Linux and Windows servers
IPsec, VPN, Load Balancing, Iperf, Routing Protocols, SSH, Network Monitoring / Troubleshooting tools, SRT video streaming
Exposure to security concepts / best practices
Essential Skills:
Strong customer focus
Robust and methodical engineering approach to solving complex problems
Ability to operate in a complex environment, taking on multiple concurrent tasks
Owns a problem through to its completion. Never gives up
Strong analytical skills to identify root cause of problem in logs
Enjoys working as a part of a highly motivated global technology team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Fluent English)
Highly motivated to meet and exceed deadlines
Is hardworking, organised, team orientated and be able to work under pressure
