Liberty Latin America Senior Program Manager, Technical Operations in Panama

What’s the role

Across all LLA, this role is responsible for directing and executing structured and strategic programs within Technology & Innovation, specifically those related to the Vice President of Technical Operations.

What you’ll do

  • Support the development of business cases to ensure team-related responsibilities, including resources and delivery timeframes, are valid and accounted for.

  • Correctly initiate all approved projects to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Manage communication between T&I and business domains.

  • Manage communication between leadership and project status updates.

  • Proactively mitigate and control risks.

  • Measure and report per standard LLA norms using Key Performance Indicators.

  • Manage resources to develop project charters, governance plans, and work breakdown structures.

  • Manage a team of senior project/program managers to execute the program strategy.

Required Education / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field

  • 8 or more years’ experience in successful delivery of T&I Domain Projects with strong focus on customer facing technologies that enable improvement on customer experience metrics, increase of automation and reduction of operational inefficiencies.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Ideally educated to degree level or alternate appropriate industry experience.

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a large telco in a complex operational environment managing cross-functional teams.

  • Proven experience engaging effectively with executive and senior level management.

  • Experience and appreciation of working in a customer focused environment essential.

  • Experience working in cross-functional, international teams.

  • Track record of concurrently handling a variety of projects while coordinating and supporting the efforts of cross-functional team members

  • Excellent PowerPoint and data analysis tools (Excel), including advanced modelling,

  • Familiarity with project management and process mapping software desirable (i.e., MS Project, MS Visio, Clarizen, Clarity)

  • Preferably bi-lingual – English Spanish or optionally, excellent skills in one of the languages and fluency on the other

  • PMI, PMP or similar certifications highly regarded.
