Akamai's Information Security team is responsible for safeguarding Akamai, its customers, and the Internet worldwide. We are seeking a Senior Manager to join Product Security to lead a team of security researchers and security architects as they work with engineering teams to integrate security into the SDLC .
Shape Internet security
Product Security works closely with product development teams throughout the development process. They help ensure our products and supporting systems are secure. You will manage a global team of security professionals and support strategic projects.
As a Manager Senior Information Security, you will be responsible for:
Managing a global team of security professionals - hiring, developing talent, setting priorities, providing direction and technical guidance.
Contributing to the strategic direction of Product Security and improving Product Security processes and practices.
Leading strategic projects related to security in the SDLC and security best practices.
Working with engineering teams on security focused design reviews and implementing security processes and controls.
Establishing metrics and KPIs to measure your team's success. Reporting to stakeholders on team activities and coverage

To be successful in this role you will:
Have experience leading a technical team and be passionate about developing talent.
Have experience collaborating with engineers, architects to contribute to the security of Akamai's products
Understand security fundamentals and the role of security in the software development process
Have experience integrating security processes and tools into the SDLC.
Demonstrate strategic thinking and focus on automation and continuous improvements.
Possess the ability to build partnerships with and communicate issues to senior technical leaders and business stakeholders.
