Camping World Group Accounting Manager in Virtual, South Carolina
Camping World is seeking an Area Controller to join our growing team.
The Area Controller will present the financial conditions of the Camping World RV Sales dealerships, develop and maintain internal controls necessary to safeguard business assets, and maintain accurate records. This position interacts with members of corporate management, local dealership management, accounting associates, and support staff.
What You’ll Do:
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and submit to management in accordance with established timeframes
Provide information to the General Manager(s) and Regional Vice President(s) to help them better manage the business operations
Maintain an effective cash management system
Manage the day-to-day accounting operations to ensure that all transactions are recorded in compliance with the Company's accounting processes and policies
Manage and safeguard the dealerships assets and ensure that internal controls are in place
Assist department managers in reading and interpreting their financial reports and with implementing action plans needed to improve the operation
Work with regional staff to ensure that corporate initiatives are attained
Assist with development of annual budgets and management of the budget variances throughout the year
Reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet accounts (inventory, receivables, liabilities, fixed assets, etc.)
Review financial statements and ledgers and partner with the operations team to resolve discrepancies
Ensure that the accounting records are maintained in an orderly, current, and accurate condition at all times
Develop, train, and supervise accounting teams and processes related to new store openings
What You’ll Need to Have for the Role:
Controller experience within an automotive and/or recreational vehicle dealership is preferred.
Proficiency with dealership accounting software is strongly preferred (ADP, Reynolds and Reynolds, DealerTrack, IDS)
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel strongly preferred
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate financial information to senior management, peers, and business partners
Ability to multi-task and work in a "hands on", fast paced environment
Professional leadership and problem-solving ability
Ability to work independently and with a team
Willingness and flexibility to travel within the United States based on business needs
May hold up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs. with assistive devices
Pay Range:
$77,500.00-$116,275.00 Annual
