Microsoft Corporation Data Center Construction Business Manager in Singapore

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

As a Data Center Construction Business Manager, you will support the Datacenter Construction Development (APAC) organization and the leader through the energetic execution of (but not limited to):

*Business Operations *

  • Manages the day-to-day running of the business on behalf of a leader, including driving the rhythm of business (ROB), planning and executing department agendas, driving budget planning process and ongoing review, and managing workforce planning activities.

  • Works with peers in other regionson all the business operation related matters, understand business priority and consistency.

  • Drives team staff meeting, town hall and offsite as required.

  • Monitors the organizational health and drives the health and culture of the organization.

  • Monitors team training progress and coordinates for training session as required.

  • Prepares and manages executive travel plan and preparation of detailed itinerary.

  • Assists in recruitment and onboarding of new hires.

*Program Support & Management *

  • Maximizes/extends the leader while developing relationships with key stakeholders, communicating the leader’s strategy, conducting external engagement/thought leadership, and serving as a trusted advisor to the leader.

  • Contributes to cross-team projects as needed to meet the changing business environment and manage business needs.

  • Drive consistency, quality, and insight across relevant programs, facilitate and support business reviews through ROB management, reporting, execution, etc.

  • Efficiently lift materials from working level to executive briefing as needed.

  • Ensure timely sharing of information received from the leaders.

  • Deputizes for Regional Execution Team meeting preparation and coordination.

  • Ensures continuation of business operations, driving strategy execution and/or leader alignment.

  • Participates in a variety of special projects/programs and initiatives, as needed.

  • May drive accountability managing business metrics such as scorecards and/or defining and tracking objective key results (OKRs).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of industry experience supporting a senior level manager and regional team

  • Experience in a fast paced and complex environment, understanding the teams needs and making appropriate decisions and requests on behalf of the executive

  • Experience in managing teams and projects that involve collaboration across different departments or functions within an organization.

  • Experience supporting a global team with remote employees, dealing with ambiguity in a timely manner

  • Skilled user of Microsoft productivity software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, or similar collaboration tools

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance,Construction or related field AND 4+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement

  • OR equivalent experience.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
