Xylem Service Engineer in Singapore

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (includes key and additional responsibilities)

  • Lead, supervise, and train inspection teams according to company SOP’s in the planning, deployment and implementation of pipeline inspection technologies

  • Oversee work of on-site inspection crew members including schedule, coordinate, supervise and review assignments of field support staff engaged in inspection related activities to ensure compliance with client/contract requirements

  • Develop intimate knowledge of specific technologies related to pipeline assessment

  • Review pipeline drawings and plans for system operation and inspection risks

  • Work with Project Managers to plan and implement pipeline inspections using specific technologies while educating them on tool limitations

  • Write Planning Documents for projects clearly identifying technology/inspection risks

  • In-pipe inspection and live deployment of technologies

  • Perform mathematical calculations (pipe slope, stationing, flow rates, velocity, pressure, head, etc.); prepare and revise inspection plans and reports for multiple technologies

  • Organize and maintain a variety of files and records; work logically and systematically with good time management and superior judgement

  • Respond to question and inquiries from the client, management, and team members in a timely fashion

  • Organize and maintain a variety of files and records; work logically and systematically using effective time management skills.

  • Hands-on duties involve testing and commissioning, service, repair and troubleshoot equipment/system at Xylem Workshop or on sites, for pump systems (booster/transfer/ejector/Divertor/drainage).

  • Proficient on monitoring & control, technical skill, retrofitting, Testing & Commissioning for pumps

  • Perform Health Assessment to customer equipment and generate sales leads.

  • Liaise with customers on service activities ensuring all works are carried out on time and to customers’ satisfaction.

  • Provide after sales technical support services to help customers to optimize their business with the right solutions.

  • Manage and maintain a high-level long term business relationships with existing customer and develop new business opportunities to expand the aftermarket sales & service in systems maintenance, retrofit, repair and spare parts business.

  • Work closely with Service manager to improve work flows/processes to increase productivity.

  • Play a part in maintaining the workshop in an environmentally safe and organized manner & ensure equipment & tools are well maintained.

  • Actively participate in compliance with QA and ESH requirement to promote a safe working environment.

  • Ensures compliance with all company, local guidelines, regulations and local laws.
