Job Description

Full/Part-time adjunct instructor(s) needed for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in computer science, cybersecurity, and cyber engineering technology for Fall 2024. Most courses are taught in person with a few courses taught online either synchronously or asynchronously.

Required Education and Experience:

  • An earned Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Cyber Engineering Technology or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.

  • 18 graduate hours in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Cyber Engineering Technology or a closely related field.

  • Experience and interest in teaching undergraduates in a college/university setting.

  • Lecture and Computer based Laboratory teaching experience or related industry experience.

  • Excellent (1) oral and written communication skills and (2) presentation skills.

  • Broad training in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Cyber Engineering Technology and industry experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Working towards or has earned Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Cyber Engineering Technology or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.

  • Interest in active and collaborative learning, the instructional use of technology.

  • Experience with non-traditional commuter university setting.

  • Ability to work cooperatively with faculty and staff, ability to respond promptly to queries from students, faculty, and staff.

Applicants must then complete the online Application/Faculty Form as well as upload

  • Letter of interest (cover letter) that includes a description of computer science, cybersecurity, or cyber engineering technology related teaching experience and times the applicant is available to teach during the Fall 2024 semester

  • Curriculum Vitae

  • Complete set of unofficial transcripts

Only applicants who are invited for an interview will be asked to submit names of three references to the Search Committee Chair.
