U.S. Navy - Agency Wide AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT MECHANIC LEADER (EXPERT) in United States

Summary You will serve as an Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic Leader (Expert) in the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY. You will serve as an Expert Air Conditioning Equipment (ACE) Mechanic leading a group to ensure work assignments are completed. This position is located in the Air Conditioning Equipment Shop 56. Applicants will only be considered for positions within their own UIC. For example: If you are within UIC 4523A, you will only be considered for positions within 4523A. Responsibilities You will serve as an Expert Air Conditioning Equipment (ACE) Mechanic performing maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, installation, modification, and testing of new and existing shipboard refrigeration systems and components. You will work in accordance with developed technical direction including blueprints and sketches to plan and layout the routing and placement of various system components and equipment. You will exercise leadership skills to mentor, demonstrate new techniques and instruct ACE employees in a wide range of complex repairs and troubleshooting of refrigeration equipment. You will work to continuously to improve trade processes and keep shop personnel and management apprised of new technologies, procedures and tooling improvements associated with shop work.
