What you get to do

As Associate Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for developing, aligning, and overseeing implementation of the vertical marketing strategy for the mobility TOUGHBOOK business unit at Panasonic Connect North America.

You will own the overall demand generation and product or solution awareness strategy across all mobility verticals - including federal, public, enterprise, channel, as well as services and strategic partnerships. Collaborating closely with the business unit leadership team and marketing team, you will set TOUGHBOOK marketing priorities, monitor performance against KPI goals, and report on progress with global stakeholders. The Associate Director of Marketing will lead a team of professional marketers and maintain relationships with external marketing agencies.

You and your team will develop a wide range of B2B marketing programs including, but not limited to, market research, advertising campaigns, tradeshows, sponsorships, customer advisory boards, content development, PR, and messaging or positioning. You will work together with the shared services marketing team-- digital, events, creatives services, media-- as well as with the TOUGBOOK sales teams, product teams, GTM, finance, procurement, and legal to develop compliant multi-channel marketing programs.

The Associate Director of Marketing reports to the Head of Marketing at Panasonic Connect, with a dotted line to the business unit GM. The ability to build positive and productive relationships across the business, inside the marketing team, and align marketing priorities with sales and company objectives is critical.

Develop and oversee implementation of strategic marketing plans to drive engagement, awareness, and sales to support the mobility business unit and Panasonic Connect.

-Develop the annual marketing plan and adjust as need to achieve overall business objectives

-Apply best practices in marketing and demand generation to develop effective marketing communications.

-Create impactful advertising, content, thought leadership, and sales enablement materials.

-Guide preparation of marketing activity reports and present to management.

-Collaborate with the sales team to develop targeted industry and solution specific messages.

-Own the mobility tradeshow and events roadmap, align support needs and priorities with the sales team and marketing events teams.

-Oversee execution of all marketing activity within the team ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance.

Develop and execute on messaging for TOUGBOOK vertical solutions strategy, identifying new ways to approach the market, participating in G2M for new products or solutions, and representing voice of the customer.

-Serve as an internal advocate for customer needs ensuring broad awareness of, and empathy for, customer pain points.

-In partnership with product management, drive market research and competitive analysis initiatives

-Develop creative briefs for new marketing campaigns and assets, and partner with digital communications and creatives services teams to oversee reviews, approval, and execution.

-Support go-to-market vertical messaging for new products and solutions.

-Develop and maintain overall brand, campaign, and product messaging templates and ensure brand guidelines are adhered to across creative assets.

Team management, budget management, operations, and KPI reporting.

-Coach and mentor a team of marketing professionals covering the key verticals and focus areas.

-Set the marketing budget and track marketing expense against the budget.

-Set marketing objectives, track against KPIs, prepare and deliver QBRs, align with international stakeholders.

-Partner with legal, procurement, finance, and operations as needed to accomplish goals.

What you bring

Education and Experience

Degree required or preferred

-Bachelors degree in marketing, business or related field required, MBA preferred.

-10 plus years of B2B marketing and demand generation experience with a proven track record of delivering business results.

-Thorough knowledge of modern marketing concepts, marketing technology, as well as very strong project management skills.

-Deep understanding of the B2B customer journey and full-funnel marketing strategy and fundamentals.

-Experience in solution marketing to enterprise or public vertical markets and or enterprise hardware, electronics, or technology.

-Experience leading and developing a high-performance team of marketers.

-Experience in developing marketing messaging and building consensus between all internal and external stakeholders.

-Solid prioritization and organizational skills with the ability to make decisions and resolve issues while working under pressure

-Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

-Effective written and spoken English communication skills with all levels of an organization

-25 percent travel

What We Offer: The salary range of $170,000-190,000 is just one component of Panasonic Connect's total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.
