Queen's Health System Athletic Trainer - Ortho Rehab Hale Pawaa (Full-Time, 40, Day) in United States
RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides athletic training support for sideline and field level coverage for athletic injuries at practices, games, events and tournaments, as assigned.
• Provides athletic training services in the clinic setting for office visit support or for sports performance enhancement, as assigned.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Standing, sitting, walking, stooping/bending, squatting, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting and pushing/pulling usual weight of 10 pounds, carrying usual weight of 5 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions, frequent gripping of an object.
• Frequent: lifting/carrying up to maximum of 50 pounds, pushing/pulling up to maximum 50 pounds of force, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
• Occasional: kneeling, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, twisting body.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
• Work involves both indoor and outdoor conditions with exposure to outside weather elements: heat, sun, wind, etc.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Current Hawaii State license as an Athletic Trainer.
• Current BLS certification.
• Certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and/or Performance Enhancement Specialist designation preferred.
B. EXPERIENCE:
• Prior experience as an Athletic Trainer in a clinic, sideline and/or field level setting.
• Demonstrated experience in ability to work with physicians and broad range of people.
