GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is seeking a Temporary Construction Worker in Jackson, Wyoming. Under supervision, this position performs basic construction tasks on and for the highway system.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed at the job level.
Construction tasks include performing basic lab tests and survey procedures.
Perform construction inspections.
Prepare and check computations and data.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
This is an entry-level position that requires no prior training or experience.
KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of materials testing.
Knowledge of surveying methods and equipment operation.
Knowledge of construction inspection, which includes interpretation of plans and specifications.
Skill in the use of computers.
Strong math skills required.
Ability to perform algebraic calculations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Necessary Special Requirements
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
This position requires working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
Individuals must be available to work at any time, including, nights, weekends, and holidays.
