A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CHEF TOURNANT
As our Communications Coordinator, you will ensure all communication, standards, policies, and expectations are communicated to your team and then executed flawlessly. You achieve the objectives through communication, organization, and training. Enables your team by ensuring equipment and sanitation standards are always met, supplies and inventories are readily available, expectations are communicated, recipes are current, and training is ongoing. This is expected to be a "hands-on" supervisor who leads their team by example. The Chef Tournant can perform Chef tasks in all kitchens.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Kitchen terminology is required.
Documented cooking experience with a heavy emphasis on classical methods and regional cooking in a high-quality culinary environment. Culinary education applies to experience.
Formal culinary training diploma, apprenticeship papers, or equivalent experience preferred.
Previous Supervisory skills are required.
Knowledge of product uses and availability.
Remain current with products and industry trends. Take personal responsibility to advance skills and knowledge.
