Summary About the Position: The J. Strom Thurmond Project Office and Dam is in a rural lakefront location in Clarks Hill, SC on US Highway 221, just outside the boundaries of the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA), the third largest metropolitan area in the state of Georgia. It is approximately 25 miles from Ft. Gordon and Augusta, GA, home of the Masters Golf Tournament. It is approximately 140 miles east of Atlanta, 80 miles southwest of Columbia, SC, and 130 miles northwest of Savannah, GA. Responsibilities Prepare and submit all reports of operating data to the Project Manager's office. Ensure monthly credit card statement is correct including invoice from vendor. Implement procedures pertaining to files, mail, reports, correspondence, personnel, and other administrative activities. Prepare personnel actions for the office, travel orders, transportation requests, travel vouchers, and training requests. Ensure accruals payable data is recorded accurately in CEFMS. Receive, screen, and distribute incoming mail for the power plant. Specialized Experience:GS-05: One year of specialized experience which includes; Provide clerical and administrative support primarily for the power plant office, performing a variety of clerical, administrative, budgetary, and purchasing functions in support of a project. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). OR Education: Successfully completed four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ClericalFinancial ManagementManages and Organizes Information Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-04).
