CyberData Technologies is looking to hire a Data Engineer to work with a team of IT professionals for an IT support contract for the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) Clinical Trials Database (CTDB), to work in an environment with mature change management processes including peer reviews, Atlassian products, and version control through GIT. Successful candidates must:
Develop SQL report queries and ETL data extracts to external systems;
Support the data migration from various systems to CTDB;
Identify and manage the complete ETL lifecycle;
Assist with the design, development and maintenance of the data marts for NICHD;
Develop transformation of data from application schemas to reporting schemas;
Assist with the support and maintenance of the Oracle database services ensuring accessibility, recoverability, and performance;
Assist with the monitoring and tuning of the Oracle databases to ensure performance and accessibility requirements are met;
Support migration of data services to AWS and PaaS solutions;
Assist with the creation and maintenance of test database instances for Java developers and other users and testing users of NICHD DIR applications;
Contribute to the creation and update of technical documentation to include operating procedures and configuration guides
Required Skills (include but not limited to) :
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
5+ years of relational database management systems, data engineering and extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes
Experience with Oracle and a plus
Familiarity with an NIH environment a plus
